Als Mitglied des weltweiten Lions-Verbundes identifizieren wir uns mit den Zielen von Lions International.
Lions möchten des Geist gegenseitiger Verständigung unter den Völkern der Welt wecken und erhalten,
die Grundsätze eines guten Staatswesens und guten Bürgersinns fördern, aktiv für die bürgerliche, kulturelle
und soziale Entwicklung der Gesellschaft eintreten. Die Clubs sollen in Freudschaft, Kameradschaft und
gegenseitigem Verständnis verbunden sein und einsatzfreudige Menschen bewegen, der Gemeinschaft zu
dienen, ohne daraus persönlichen Nutzen zu ziehen. Die Clubs sollen ein Forum sein für die offene Diskussion
aller Angelegenheiten von öffentlichem Interesse, ohne jedoch politische Fragen parteiisch und religiöse
Fragen unduldsam zu behandeln.
Lions International verbindet z.Zt. 1,4 Millionen Menschen weltweit.
Wir haben uns zum Ziel gesetzt, durch materielle Hilfe vor Ort und durch persönliches Engagement den Lions-
Gedanken in Emmerich und Rees umzusetzen. Hierzu führen wir eigene Aktionen, Lions sagen „Activities“, durch.
